About the Role
This role is for our client in the IT sector, specifically in the administration department. The Security Architect - Consultant (SIEM Engineer) will assist the Division of Information Security (DIS) in a new position. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in security architecture, consulting, and SIEM engineering. The role is 100% remote, but local candidates who can come to the office as needed for client and departmental meetings, trainings, and other onsite activities will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security architecture solutions to protect the client's IT infrastructure.
- Consult with the client's IT team to identify security risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Design and implement SIEM systems to monitor and analyze security threats.
- Analyze security logs and incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the client's IT team to ensure seamless integration of security solutions with existing systems.
- Provide training and support to the client's IT team on security best practices and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to ensure the client's IT infrastructure remains secure.
- Participate in incident response and disaster recovery efforts as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in security architecture, consulting, and SIEM engineering.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001.
- Knowledge of security protocols and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with SIEM systems, such as Splunk and ELK.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience with security compliance and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
- CISSP or CEH certification preferred.
