About the Role

This role is for our client in the software development sector. The selected resource will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team to design, develop, and implement software solutions. The role offers a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, and the candidate must be a current SC resident with no relocation allowed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions using various programming languages and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and code comments.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, working closely with the team to identify and fix bugs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve software development processes.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and end-users, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to the development of software testing strategies, ensuring thorough testing and validation of software solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance software development efficiency.
  • Adhere to software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Experience with software testing and validation, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
  • Knowledge of software development tools, such as Git, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
