About the Role
This role is for our client in the data warehousing sector. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data warehouses. They will be responsible for ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data warehouses using Teradata and other technologies.
- Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide targeted training and technical guidance to development teams for troubleshooting and batch support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data warehouses.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse documentation, including data flow diagrams, data mapping, and data lineage.
- Perform data warehouse performance tuning and optimization.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse security and access controls.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse backup and recovery procedures.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse monitoring and reporting procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, with a strong focus on Teradata.
- Experience supporting the loading of data from multiple source systems.
- Ability to provide targeted training and technical guidance to development teams for troubleshooting and batch support.
- Minimum of 5 years of Linux experience.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to determine appropriate solutions while adhering to SoM and MOur Client/Our Client policies.
Tools & Technologies
- Teradata.
- Linux.
- Cloud-based BI tools.
- Cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Work Schedule & Duration
- Hybrid Work Schedule (Non-Negotiable): There is no remote-only option.
- Required onsite days: Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Remote eligible days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
Interview Process
The process typically includes an initial screening followed by a 60-minute Virtual Interview via Teams (video required). Candidates should join from a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of virtual interview to validate candidate.
