About the Role

This role is for our client in the software development sector. The selected consultant will work closely with the designated IT manager, project managers, and other developers in an agile development environment. The work scope of the consultant will include requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment, and technical support. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing web applications utilizing the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher, as well as experience in developing with ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, and CSS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop application software to meet business needs and product deliverables.
• Work closely with the designated IT manager, project managers, and other developers in an agile development environment.
• Requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment, and technical support.
• Develop web applications utilizing the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher.
• Develop with ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Develop using SOLID design principles (Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud solutions).
• Develop reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Develop using Azure Technologies (e.g., Azure function, App Service, Azure KeyVault, Redis Cache, App Insights, etc.).
• Develop with Visual Studio 2022 or Visual Studio 2026.
• Work in a hybrid environment with 4 days in office downtown Columbus.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in developing web applications utilizing the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher.
• 5+ years of experience in developing with ASP.NET Core.
• 4+ years of experience in developing using ASP.NET Core Blazor.
• 5+ years of experience in developing using JavaScript and CSS.
• 2+ years of experience in developing with Microsoft .NET 8.
• 4+ years of experience in developing with Microsoft .NET 6.
• 10+ years of experience in developing with the C# language.
• 4+ years of experience in developing using Telerik Kendo UI for ASP.NET Core.
• 2+ years of experience in developing using Telerik UI for Blazor.
• 5+ years of experience integrating and consuming REST APIs.
• 10+ years of experience in developing using SOLID design principles (Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud solutions).
• 10+ years of experience with SQL Server (On prem and Azure) including Relational Database Design and development.
• 10+ years of experience with SQL including optimization of queries, creating tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• 5+ years of experience in developing using Entity Framework (EF) 4.0, Core, or later, including LINQ to SQL.
• 5+ years of experience in developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• 5+ years of experience in developing using Azure Technologies (e.g., Azure function, App Service, Azure KeyVault, Redis Cache, App Insights, etc.).
• 4+ years of experience in developing with Visual Studio 2022 or Visual Studio 2026.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field.

Work Schedule & Duration

• Hybrid environment with 4 days in office downtown Columbus.
• Contract length: 11 months.
• Start date: 08/24/26.
• End date: 06/30/27.

Interview Process

The process typically includes an initial screening followed by a technical/panel interview via Teams.
