Power Apps Developer

About the Role

This role is focused on delivering robust, enterprise‑grade solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform for Our Client. The developer will work in a collaborative, Agile environment alongside Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, and other technical specialists. By designing, building, and maintaining Power Apps and Dataverse data models, the candidate will enable streamlined business processes and data‑driven decision making across the organization. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both on‑site collaboration and remote productivity, and directly impacts the efficiency of critical state services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy canvas and model‑driven Power Apps that meet functional and performance requirements.
• Create and manage Dataverse data models, relationships, and business rules to support enterprise data architecture.
• Build automated workflows and integrations using Power Automate, Azure Functions, and REST APIs.
• Implement security roles, field‑level permissions, and compliance controls within Power Platform solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Maintain solution lifecycle through Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.
• Produce clear documentation, user guides, and training materials for delivered solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, connectivity, and functional issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dataverse data modeling, including entities, relationships, and business rules.
• Experience building both canvas and model‑driven apps, with knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for custom components.
• Familiarity with integration patterns using REST APIs, Azure Functions, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
• Understanding of security concepts within Power Platform (role‑based security, environment strategies).
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate certification (PL‑400) or similar credentials.

Work Schedule & Duration

• 12‑month contract with possibility of extension
• Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days on‑site at 1801 Main Street, Columbia, SC and 3 days remote
• Start date: September 8, 2026
• Candidate must reside in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia and be willing to commute to Columbia, SC twice per week

Interview Process

The interview process consists of a single virtual round conducted online. Candidates will be evaluated on technical proficiency with the Power Platform, problem‑solving approach, and communication skills.
