About the Role
This role is for our client in the healthcare sector, where you will work closely with data modernization teams to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions. As an AWS Java developer, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, proposing effective modernization strategies, and developing cloud-native applications and backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies.
- Design, develop, and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines.
- Analyze data models and business requirements.
- Data Validation: Query the database to verify that data is correctly inserted, updated, and deleted by the application, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Design, Create, and Execute Test Cases.
- Back-end Testing: Validating back-end logic and data processing that might not be immediately visible through the user interface.
- Collaboration: Working closely with developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Utilize AWS services within application architecture.
- Develop, test, debug, and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices available.
- Participate in code reviews, ensure security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient code.
- Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of software development experience.
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications, including refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
- Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise-level Data Lakes.
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java - strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework, and hibernate technology.
- Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases.
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools.
- SQL - Writing Complex Queries, understanding Database Relationships, debugging, and performance tuning.
- ETL tools - Hands-on experience with cloud-based tools.
- Understanding data modeling.
- Knowledge/experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Framework environments.
