About the Role
This role is for our client in the transportation sector. The Business Analyst will work with the Asset Management Team to analyze complex processes and systems, break them down into manageable parts, and identify root causes of problems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and requirements gathering skills. They will also have experience working with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall projects, as well as experience in rolling out new systems and managing user adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Break down complex systems into manageable parts and identify root causes of problems.
- Develop and maintain business requirements and technical specifications.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather requirements.
- Write clear, testable, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare diagrams explaining modifications to both technical staff and executive management.
- Experience creating wireframes or visualization examples from requirements.
- Work with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall projects.
- Roll out new systems and manage user adoption.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in IT projects.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Technical proficiency in enterprise software, databases, APIs, and data flow diagrams.
- Requirements gathering skills, including conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops.
- Experience with Azure DevOPS (TFS) for creating and managing agile items.
- Agile/Waterfall knowledge and experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Business Process Modelling using Swim Lane and Flow Chart Diagrams.
Tools & Technologies
- Enterprise software (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Databases (SQL).
- APIs.
- Data flow diagrams.
- Azure DevOPS (TFS).
Work Schedule & Duration
- 12-to-18-month contract.
- Hybrid: 3 days per week required at 1401 East Broad Street.
Interview Process
The process typically includes an initial screening followed by a technical/panel interview via MS Teams.
