Cloud Engineer

About the Role

This role is for our client in the technology sector, where the successful candidate will work as a Cloud Engineer, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architecture, with experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security best practices and be able to design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure and applications using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor and manage cloud-based infrastructure and applications using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 24ai.
• Implement database security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Python and JavaScript to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud computing technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architecture.
• Ability to design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with Oracle OEM Cloud Control for monitoring and management.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• In-depth knowledge of database security best practices.
• Expertise in performance tuning and optimization.

Work Schedule & Duration

• Contract length: 2 months
• Work arrangement: Onsite
• Some after-hours and weekend hours required based on workload

The process typically includes an initial screening followed by a technical interview via Web Cam.
