Cloud Security Architect

About the Role

This role is for our client in the technology sector, specifically within the our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the deployment and management of the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects. This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of cloud security architecture and implementation. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud security architecture and design for the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud security compliance and adherence to industry standards.
• Analyze and identify security risks and vulnerabilities in cloud-based systems and develop mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement cloud-based security solutions to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to cloud security teams to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security trends and technologies to ensure the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects remain secure and compliant.
• Develop and maintain relationships with cloud security vendors and partners to ensure the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects remain secure and compliant.
• Provide regular security status reports to management and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Participate in cloud security training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Work Schedule & Duration

• First week on site to get acclimated to team.
• After that, consultant should plan 3 days per month onsite.
• Remainer of time is remote.
• Onsite cadence will be scheduled with the manager after start.

Interview Process

The process typically includes an initial screening followed by a technical/panel interview via Teams.
