Cloud Security Architect

About the Role

This role is for our client in the IT sector, specifically within the our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the deployment and management of the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects. The position requires a strong understanding of cloud security architecture and the ability to work in a hybrid environment. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with the team to ensure the successful implementation of cloud-based solutions. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The work location will be hybrid, with 3 days per month onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud security architecture for the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the successful implementation of cloud-based solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot cloud security issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team on cloud security best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends and technologies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud security architecture and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Provide training and support to the team on cloud security.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure cloud security is integrated into overall IT strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in cloud security architecture and implementation.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions, such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• SC resident required.

Interview Process

The interview process will consist of 1 round, virtual/online.
