About the Role
This role is for our client in the healthcare sector, where the candidate will work as a primary point of contact for hospitals, healthcare organizations, and coalition partners within their assigned region. The Healthcare Coalition Coordinator will identify preparedness gaps and needs, communicate with stakeholders, and direct them to relevant information and resources. The role requires close collaboration with the Regional PHEP Coordinator to facilitate coordination between local public health and healthcare partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with the IDOH DEP District & Local Readiness Manager to share needs, challenges, and accomplishments of healthcare organizations.
- Participate in IDOH-Division of Emergency Preparedness conference calls and staff meetings as scheduled.
- Attend scheduled District Coalition meetings and additional healthcare-related meetings or events as assigned.
- Identify and communicate planning, training, and exercise support needs or activities to IDOH DEP DLR Manager.
- Provide guidance and answer questions on IDOH preparedness efforts or direct them to where they may obtain the requested guidance when necessary.
- Assist in tracking grant deliverable progress and completion during preparedness activities, data collection efforts, and inventory tracking as directed.
- Complete any reporting and/or tracking forms and documents as identified and requested by IDOH DEP DLR Manager and/or Director.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in healthcare or emergency preparedness is preferred.
Tools & Technologies
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and use IDOH preparedness software and systems.
Work Schedule & Duration
- Full-time position.
- Contract length: 6 months.
- Work arrangement: Onsite.
