About the Role

Our Client is seeking a Power Platform Developer to rebuild a critical statewide billing system for establishments that hold food, lodging, pool, and tattoo permits. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform that replace an end‑of‑life legacy application. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Dynamics 365 users, and data teams to ensure accurate data flow, invoicing, and payment reconciliation. The successful candidate will deliver a modern, scalable system that supports online payments, check processing, and comprehensive reporting while maintaining a robust ALM pipeline across development, UAT, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power Virtual Agents to replace legacy billing functionality.
  • Develop a data pipeline that mirrors SQL data from an AWS-hosted database into Dataverse, ensuring data integrity and real‑time updates.
  • Integrate Dynamics 365 with the Power Platform to automate invoice creation, email distribution, and payment tracking.
  • Implement PayIt integration to facilitate online payments and capture payment status back into Dynamics.
  • Configure the system to log check receipts, submit them to the controller, and reconcile with NCFS records.
  • Create a case‑management interface for logging calls, emails, and related records (Contact, Case, Invoice).
  • Build reporting dashboards that provide invoicing metrics and program performance insights.
  • Establish a robust ALM process with three environments (Development, UAT, Production) and automated promotion of components.
  • Collaborate with data architects to model Dataverse tables and maintain data governance.
  • Document solution design, technical specifications, and user training materials.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands‑on experience building solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents).
  • Strong proficiency in working with Dataverse and Dynamics 365 to model data and automate business processes.
  • Solid understanding of SQL database structure and ability to write queries for data extraction and validation.
  • Experience designing and maintaining ALM pipelines across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL‑400) certification or higher is preferred.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Time‑management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project milestones.

  • Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Power BI
  • Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365
  • SQL Server (on AWS RDS)
  • AWS services (for data hosting)

  • ALM tools for environment promotion and component synchronization

Work Schedule & Duration

  • Contract length: 12 months (July 13 2026 – July 12 2027)
  • Work arrangement: Hybrid – remote work with periodic onsite visits to the client’s Raleigh office
  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime for critical releases
