Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

This role is for our client in the data engineering sector. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance measures. They will be responsible for integrating, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple enterprise systems using SQL and modern data engineering techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong project management reporting & portfolio analytics experience, with a minimum of three (3), and preferably four to seven (4–7) years, of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related information technology discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data engineering solutions to meet business requirements.
• Integrate, transform, and analyze data from multiple enterprise systems using SQL and modern data engineering techniques.
• Develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting using Microsoft Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance measures.
• Analyze data to identify trends and insights, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data engineering solutions meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain data engineering documentation, including data dictionaries and technical documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong project management reporting & portfolio analytics experience.
• Minimum of three (3), and preferably four to seven (4–7) years, of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related information technology discipline.
• Experience integrating, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple enterprise systems using SQL and modern data engineering techniques.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting using Microsoft Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance measures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedule & Duration

• Hybrid work schedule, with two days per week onsite.
